Science teacher for 12 years. I believe every classroom can be a laboratory if we look closely enough. Love building low-cost experiments with waste material.

Class 8 students built a working solar still that produces 1.5 litres of clean drinking water a day using only waste bottles, black paint and a tin tray.

Mid-day meal waste feeds a three-bin compost system that students monitor with thermometers and pH strips, growing vegetables for their own lunch.

Students built calibrated rain gauges and tracked monsoon rainfall across six villages, comparing their data with the district weather station.
