Fitness Passport for Every Child

A small hand-made passport tracks each student's running, jumping, flexibility and balance every month, with stamps for personal improvement rather than ranking.

Sports in most schools rewards the top five athletes. The other 95% learn that PE is not for them. The Fitness Passport flips that.

Every child has a passport booklet. Once a month we measure six simple things: 50 m run, standing long jump, sit-and-reach flexibility, one-leg balance time, skipping count in a minute and a plank hold. The passport gets a stamp whenever the child beats their own previous score.

There is no comparison with others. Children started asking to practise during breaks. In six months, 82% of students improved in at least four of the six measures.

The passport costs ₹4 to print and the measurements need a tape, a stopwatch and a skipping rope.
